Imperfection Does Not Equal Powerlessness
We had a chapel speaker here at school recently who basically said that our generation is struggling with a lot of stuff, which is absolutely true. He talked about pressures from family, school, etc., anxieties about the future, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, all things that I or some of my friends have struggled with. But he said that we can still make a difference. We're constantly being told that we are the future, that we need to change the world. It's hard to imagine ourselves doing that sometimes when we're all as lost and stuck as we feel sometimes, but we don't have to be perfect to have power for change. Carpe diem!
